1. Bleed your Radiators

Bleeding your radiators is not as complicated as it sounds, it is done to release air which might be trapped in your heating system. If you notice your radiators have cold patches, or the top is cold, this means it’s time for a bleeding.

2. Power Flush the central heating system

If sludge comes out when you bleed your radiators, it’s good to consider a power flush to clear the heating system of dangerous build-up. 3. Use Filters

Save your heating system and reduce your bills by insulating your home, making sure the that heat does not escape through the windows and door gaps.

5. Test your Thermostat

Make sure your thermostat is working correctly – switch it on, and you should hear the click and the heating starting right on. Chang the battery back up in the thermostat to ensure your heating will run seamlessly in the winter.

6. Invest in a Small Thermostat

If you haven’t got one already consider investing in a smart thermostat. It will help you reduce your bills, and be more environmentally friendly, as you can set it to turn on based on when you’ll be home.
